I have recently made a few revisions to the Prologue of my book and published a new version, identified as v 241220 on its Copyright page. After two years of improvements, I expect this version to be the last.

In the Prologue, I wanted to emphasize two significant aspects of the NEC theory and the natural afterlife it makes possible. First, the theory does not conflict with anyone’s belief in a supernatural, perhaps faith-based afterlife. If such an afterlife arises at death, it would override the imperceptible pause in one’s final experience. Second, the theory will drive more people to religion. Why? It crushes one’s belief in nonexistence after death and raises the potential for accountability.
